Winter Waders

Waders are one of the favourite groups of birds for most birders, due to their amazing migrations, great diversity and often stunningly beautiful plumages, but identifying them can be a challenge. This workshop, led by local bird enthusiast Julian Thomas, will cover the identification and ageing of most waders that occur in Britain, with particular emphasis on those that visit Norfolk. The course will provide opportunities to hone your field skills, with visits to the reserve. We should be able to see a good range of wader species, with perhaps some scarcer favourites such as Jack Snipe.

Time: 10:30am to 3:30pm
